By its decision dated 29 April 2010, the IOC Disciplinary Commission concluded that Kornelia Marek had committed an anti-doping rule violation upon the occasion of her competing on the occasion of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and that, due in particular to the severity of the anti-doping rule violation, Kornelia Marek was disqualified from all competitions in which she participated at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, including the Women sprint relay free event.
As a direct consequence of the violation of the Rules by Kornelia Marek, and despite the fact that Sylwia Jaskowiec has not been found to have personally committed any anti-doping rule violation, the team consisting of Kornelia Marek and Sylwia Jaskowiec shall also be disqualified in compliance with Article 9.1 of the Rules and Article 11 and 10 of the FIS Rules.
Therefore the IOC Disciplinary Commission decide that:
1.) The Polish team, composed of Kornelia Marek and Sylwia Jaskowiec is disqualified from the Team sprint relay free event, where it had placed 9th;
2.) The International Ski Federation (FIS) is requested to modify the results of the above-mentioned event accordingly and to consider any further action within its own competence.
3.) The NOC of Poland is due to inform the members of the team of the content of this decision.
4.) This decision shall enter into force immediately.
